This section features a selection of my comic projects. I have been drawing comics since I was a young age. Over the years, I self-published several comic books and zines and sold them through mail-order and at conventions. Here are some of my works, including timelapse videos of my digital paintings, a short comic based on a lucid dream, and links to my long-form graphic novel and comic magazine projects.

Timelapse Painting Videos in 2025

Timelapse Painting Videos in 2025

2025 was a productive year for my digital painting hobby. In some of these graphics, I wanted to explore the soul-healing nature of drawing with a range of concepts such as psychological tree drawing, alien landscapes, 90s extreme comics, a paint-over for a demoparty and many more. Here are the timelapse videos of my creations (some of them have articles related to them).

Timelapse Painting Videos in 2024

2024 was a year of change. I moved country and started a new job. I couldn't produce as many graphics as I had hoped for various reasons, but I still created a good number of drawings. Most importantly, I learned to love color limitations and leverage them. Here are the timelapse videos of my creations from 2024.

The Blind Woman and Cats

The Blind Woman and Cats

A Lucid Dream Comic

This is a three-page comic based on a story from the dream diary of Lucid Fera. The dreamer watches a blind woman encountering her cats and contemplating existence. I drew the comic on paper, colored the panels using Procreate on the iPad Pro, and used Comic Life on the Mac for layouts and lettering. You can find the detailed steps of the process in the project description.

Pixeling in the Retrosphere

Timelapse Painting Videos in 2022 and 2023

These timelapse videos from 2022 and 2023 show the process I use to paint pictures on the iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil 2 in ProCreate. They are quick and easy to make because ProCreate is superbly snappy and delightful for quick paintings and I can record the process automatically using the built-in feature in the application.

XEGO Comic Magazine

XEGO Comic Magazine

In 2005 and 2006, I published six issues of the comic magazine called "XEGO" and touted as "the trash comix egozine for the ego shooter generation". The covers were printed in color. The main feature starred Dani-E, the intergalactic go-go dancer, and ran for 16 pages which I produced in color but printed in black-and-white.

Tanim Graphic Novel

Tanim Graphic Novel

From 1998 to 2004, I wrote and drew a long-form comic book called "Tanim: Am Ende der Welt" stretching across more than 200 pages. The story marches towards what is ostensibly the end of the world ("Das Ende der Welt"). It culminates in an all-out slugfest and a sentient planet coming to Earth.
